” I have followed Maxine around for many years everywhere she has worked. I have recommended her to many of my friends, family and work colleagues. I will carry on doing so to whoever needs help and treatment. She is so fantastic, informative & with amazing hands. I have an ongoing neck problem. I go in in pain, feeling flat, get 1 hour treatment and come out feeling normal & out of pain”.

“Dr Jenner and Maxine Rodriguez have given me my life back and I can clearly see now, after months under their care, how my life will get completely back to normal. Without Maxine, my pain threshold would still be  “on the floor” even with all the prescribed medication”

Georgia Caunter, Devon (UK)Fibromyalgia patientMore

” I had chronic pain in both my forearms and neck for 6 years  which was having a serious impact on my life. I’d seen many consultants and had various treatments, but none had any lasting effect.  Right from the start, Maxine understood my pain  more than any other professional i’d seen and I gradually began to improve. The difference has been amazing and the the pain that has plagued me for so many years rarely bothers me nowadays. Maxine’s kind and approachable nature, as well as her extensive professional knowledge, has enabled me to regain my life . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Maxine to anybody”.

Maxine is a Specialist Physiotherapist. This means that she has extended knowledge and skills beyond that of a standard physiotherapist. She is skilled at explaining complex diagnoses in a way you understand, and in using specific non-routine tests that can quickly and better diagnose your problem. With accurate diagnosis, a treatment plan to make YOUR pain better can then be implemented.

She has over 20 years of clinical experience and has worked extensively in Australia and the UK. Her skills set is unique as in her early days Maxine specialised in Sports Medicine.

However, at the growing demand from patients requesting to be treated for other longstanding, often complex pain conditions, she expanded her studies into the field of Pain Management. She wanted to understand more and had become frustrated at the lack of good pain services available to many. So, in 2010 she gave up her NHS post as a specialist Extended Scope physiotherapist to found what is now The pain Physio.

By effectively integrating her strong biomechanics and manual therapy background with the very latest in pain science,  Maxine uses an eclectic approach that skilfully combines the best techniques proven to work. She always has a plan “B” and leaves no stone unturned until finding the missing link between “having pain” and “getting better”.
